Accountability and Quality Assurance


Essential Employment and Training reports to the Department of Social Services, NSW Department of Family and Community Services (FACS) - Ageing, Disability and Home Care (ADHC), NSW Department of Education and Communities (DEC), NSW Department of Fair Trading and other government departments or organisations depending on Projects or other activities which may be funded in any financial year.

Essential Employment and Training Ltd is a community based, not-for profit service which assists people with barriers including disabilities, injury or illness (our clients) to achieve valued status within society through development of life skills, training and employment.

Essential Employment and Training Ltd has the resources and the skills to provide person-centred support to our clients in developing vocational pathways, obtaining employment and increasing independent life skills that meet their individual needs and choices, whilst meeting contractual obligations.

It is our intention to maintain, through our Quality Assurance System, a level of quality of service and reliability that shall equal or surpass the expectations of our stakeholders including our clients, their families and carers, government, employers, community and other stakeholders.

Our Quality Assurance System will provide us with the direction required to achieve our goals.  This will be achieved through a commitment to continual improvement and ongoing review of the system to improve service delivery and thereby improve outcomes for people with barriers, including disability, injury or illness.

The achievement of our quality objectives is the prime responsibility of all our staff.

Our staff understand and are committed to the Quality Assurance System. Our staffs’ involvement and dedication to quality ensures the maintenance of our reputation for ongoing satisfaction of our stakeholders, including client and employer requirements.

We aim to continually achieve compliance with the priorities and conditions within the current government funding agreements, government acts and standards and international quality assurance management requirements.

The quality management practices are in place to meet the policies and procedures required by:

  • Australian Disability Acts and Standards
  • Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS ISO 9001
  • Standards for Registered Training Organisations, and
  • Smart and Skilled funding arrangements


All levels of staff aim to achieve even higher standards for our client orientated services.
