Volunteers

Every person with a disability is an individual with their own needs, preferences and aspirations. At EET we are continually looking for volunteers with different interests, abilities and life experiences to enable our participants to get the most out of their lives and the things they choose to do.

Whether you are retired, looking for work or just keen to give some of your time out and about in the community – we would love to hear from you.

Volunteering is a very rewarding and enriching experience as you are helping very deserving peopleby the giving of your time and skills which is to their and the community’s benefit. Being a volunteer can also benefit you personally and make a difference to your own life.

When you volunteer you:

  • Develop new skills and use your existing ones
  • Develop a new understanding about people with disabilities
  • Have fun! Meet new people
  • Make a real difference in your community
  • Boost your career options
  • Increase your motivation and personal satisfaction and build self-confidence and self-esteem
  • Support your studies and training

Essential Employment and Training provides volunteers with:

  • Reimbursement of approved expenses
  • Flexibility
  • Recognised industry experience
