Out of Hours Support

Our Wollongong Community Participation (CP) group took advantage of our new out of hours activities program with participants organising a day out of their choosing.
This new, MORE FLEXIBLE program gives our service users MORE CHOICE and MORE OPPORTUNITIES to take part in sporting events, social outings and special occasions happening on weekends or at night, all with support from EET trainers.
For their first outing the CP group took advantage of the beautiful weather and enjoyed lunch at Stanwell Park Beach Reserve followed by a stroll over the Sea Cliff Bridge.

Mark Joins our CP Program

In order to provide the best possible outcomes for our clients, Essential Employment and Training (EET) has sometimes had to make some unexpected adjustments. Mark lived on a farm in Crookwell and his family had been struggling to keep up with the costs of transporting him to his then service provider. When Mark’s mother was told about EET’s Community Participation (CP) program by a care planner from another service provider, she was interested, but was already struggling with the costs of the previous provider.

Mark’s family was thrilled when they were subsequently offered a free bus run to and from EET’s CP program in Goulburn. This has provided Mark with “confidence and consistency” and “ two (2) reliable drivers which he has a good repour with”.

While Mark’s mother has expressed her gratitude for the provision of free transport and that she remains “thrilled with the service that [EET] provide”, EET has also gained from Mark coming to Goulburn CP. We have been able to get to know a very interesting and likeable young man and are delighted that we will be able to assist him into the future.
